Our client, Kate, owns a beautiful property in Corfu called Portokalia which is rented out to visitors. She approached us back in 2013 to create an Ex Libris stamp so she could label the books in the villa's library. Portokalia means 'orange tree' and so we created a decorative stamp with a greek border design.
In late 2014 Kate came back to us again - she loves the stamp, could we maybe help her with business cards? 'Of course!' we said.
The brief was to create something of high quality that reflected the luxury of the villa. We created the letterpress printed business cards on Mandarin/Bright White 700gsm duplexed Colorplan. The printing has a deep impression for that touch of opulence, and the bright orange shouts sunshine.
Because the sea views are one of Portokalia's main selling points, we incorporated the outline of the (Albanian) hills in the distance, together with the original orange tree and the greek border from the original Ex Libris design. Since completing the business cards we have also produced some digitally printed letterheads with the same orange reverse for a bit of impact.
